New Signal Process

Front of house/recording engineer Chris Koltay’s is using an origianl NSP BreakOut in his live sound pedal board. Innovative as always, Chris uses a pedal board plugged as an aux into the mixing board for effects for the front of house sound when on tour with bands like Liars, No Age, or Deerhunter.

We are so so excited to post on our new Stomp design. We have been custom building these off and on for guitarists, bassists, and friends, and are psyched to finally be offering them to everyone.

We are pleased to announce that for the month of April, all BreakOut orders will come with a free download code for the amazing Distort+Delay app designed by Signals and Stuff. This has been one of our favorite apps to use with the BreakOut for a while now. First in our series of Broken mixes, where we use the BreakOut to take apart an entire stereo mix, here we use VoiceBand to turn willow smiths whipmyhair into a mind bending free jazz saxophone solo improv. Particularly impressive technique at 2:36!

Oneida played a 10 hour set at the Godspeed! You Black Emperor ATP last weekend. Our NSP BreakOut made its overseas performance debut in Oneida synth master Barry “Snaps” London’s rig during the 10 hr set. We are so proud : )

It looks from the tweet journal on Jag’s page that Greg from Deerhoof , Mike Watt, Mauro from GSYBE, Chris Corsano and many other face melters all joined in to help with the 10 hour set. Wish we could have been there.

NSP+Moog

We were tipped off to the new Moog Filtatron app a few weeks ago by Chad from Rainbows are Free.

Been playing with it ever since and think it is one of best sounding apps yet. Even clean it sounds warm and clear.

First note best note. Here is a little guitar played through the FX unit in the app. Time Time Time is on your side then twisted away, down the echoing halls.

We just changed the design!  All BreakOut Pedals from now on will ship with a 2 foot 4-conductor detachable cable that runs from your BreakOut pedal to your phone.  It makes use on stage way easier!  We are also making 6 or 12 ft cables – in case your setup needs a longer line.  Made with super high quality 4 conductor Mogami cable. Sounds great!

Appearances can be deceiving. This is actually a Steinberger played through the NSP BreakOut with the awesome app VoiceBand. Although this could be the way guitarists felt in the early 80s. Everything comes around!
